Spiral trash?

ive seen it, ive heard it, just dont like it. although it does have a very unique sound, which i do kinda like, the idea of a cymbal hanging down ovem my kit just doest sound appealing. thoughts...?

I think it's more for concert band ensemble stuff.

I cant see it being used effectively on a drumkit.

I used it on my drum kit! They makes a special effect which is great! I love those cymbals!!!

Or something like this- http://tinyurl.com/6q92j4 which I've been thinking about adding for a while now. Seems to do about the same thing, but less expensive.

You can imagine at the Zildjian factory...

"Oh shit we've over cooked it"....."I know! We'll heat it up some more and warp it and call it a Trashformer!"

"Oh crap i screwed up again"....."I know! We'll cut it in a spiral and call it a Spiral Trash!"

That's an awesome thing! Think it would sound similar to the spiral trash!

or maybe they are scraps left over from other cymbals that are fused together as good as possible

do you think it was actually a good cymbal before they cut it up or they dont bother lathing the grooves into it, etc?
