I am looking for one of these supraphonic snares. I was wonderng if anyone was selling one, or if anyone knows a legit source to get one from. thanx!

ebay, craigslist, any music store online or storefront that sells ludwigs. they're pretty common, tons of them made.

A Ludwig supraphonic is also know as a 400 or 402 which is the deeper 14x6.5 model. Just look on ebay they're on there all the time. As Alan say's they are very common. On that note I'm not sure if Acrolites are counted in the Supra family.
You can own the greatest drum ever made, but it won't change how well you can play it!

cool that's what i figured and i've been looking there...i was just makin sure there wasn't another source besides the usuals (ebay, etc.) thanx guys

I don't think so. I believe the Supra's are all 10 lug where the Acro is 8 lug. I also believe the Supra's are Chrome. I could be mistaken.

Thanx again.....yea that snare is a steel one....i got to use it for the first time a few weekends ago at a gig and i loved the way it sounded....really clean, and it cut through the other sounds really well, without overpowering
