when i bought my drums, the kid had scribbled all over it with sharpie and im wondering if i use nail polish remover, if that will damage the head.. in the center, the, oh i forget what its called, but like the "finish" is gone. like its worn down. if the nail polish remover will damage the head, how can i get the sharpie off?

Just get a new head or bear with it, it might wear off with play anyway

Yeah, either new head, or just live with it.

I'm considering drawing something cool on my snare head. Something to look at.

You might like it more if you change it? You'll have to change it some time! So you won't really know till you try. I loved my snare sound and when I changed the head I wasn't sure, but I grew to like it more than before.

Try it, you'll never know till you try and the sooner you start experimenting the more you'll learn your drums.

I once drew a circle on my snare head to help learn the best place to hit in order to get a proper ragga rimshot, it wore off pretty quick!

Wayyyy back in the day my teach did that.

He drew a circle about the size of a quarter, and said: 'Hit there, and only there. Paradiddles, go.'

Taught me accuracy, real quick. :)

I kinda like Lookin at the ladies asses when I play ;)

OT - Time for a new head. You need to learn sometime. So, no time like the present, like seriously.

Jeez, I write all over my heads with sharpies, on purpose... on a regular basis!

Ya know how sometimes at a gig, you'll start a tune a few clicks per minute faster than you should because the hot chick in the front row is about to smile at you? Well, I write song names and tempos on my floor tom heads, so I can look at them in reference to the beat bug and make sure I kicked off the tune right!

Sure beats remembering stuff!

Hey, that's pretty smart.

If I starting singing in my band, I'd probably have to write lyrics out on my drum heads...
