13"x7" Do odd sizes make any difference?

Tama, Pearl, Yamaha, Premier, Mapex etc.

here in central nj there are alot of music stores around. i live 2 minutes from a sam ash and a place called jersey drum (good shop, they give lessons and are good guys) and 25 minutes and 45 minutes from 4 guitar centers. then theres russos, near trenton, rondo is another, plus im 45 minutes from manhattan which has an army of music shops in its own right, that being said i have not seen a brady snare in a shop with my very own eyes in about 5 years maybe more. that dosent mean however that there arent any, point is your probably be able to try one easier if you go ahead and spend the thousand bucks and order it, or call around. if your willing to drive a bit im sure you can dig one up.

Fork's is my most favorite place.

That and the Corner Music right next to it.

Fork's is like Mecca, I played a K Con in there I just fell in love with.

And they just have a load of kits, and like a wall of just DW kits.

Awesome.

see above for a breakdown on my experiences with them. they sound like nothing else on the planet.

I'm sorry - were you saying something because I couldn't quit watching the cat eat corn on the cob!

13x7 snare (kind of known as a power Piccolo) not sounding deeper than a 3-1/2-14" piccolo? Don't stereotype diameters! I have played on some very nice sounding 13" snares - lotsa a crack to them!

i was just playing my Ddrum snare. I think i want to get some new heads and wires for it. i was just wondering, if puresound makes 13 snare wires??? the ones at guitar center were all 14 i think. sorry if its off the maintopic, but still on the 13/7 snare thing.

I don't really think the size matters it's the overall area, I imagine that a 14 by 6 would sound very similar to a 13 by 7
