It isn't worth anywhere near $450. It's a nice drum in good condition but a 6 lug Pioneer drum is worth at most $200. This is a person whom is under the impression that all old drums are valuable, some old drums are just that, old. If this were 1997, then it wouldn't surprise me to see it sell for $400+, but in today's market he should be happy to get $175-$200.

I wouldn't pay that much. it isn't one of the higher-end luddys from that period, and they only have 6 lugs. sounds high to me.

I agree that $450 for a 6-lug Pioneer is a load of bollocks.

I figured he was asking too much. That's about the price of a brand new Black Beauty! Considering most vintage Ludwigs (acrolyte, supras, etc) go for much less, I thought this was fishy. I hope some poor schlub doesn't make the mistake of paying that much for it only to find out it ain't worth jack on the bigger market.

I was thinking to myself that I've seen supraphonics from that period for like $100.
