So i have a PDP FS series kit, with a cherry satin stain.

<a href="http://s70.photobucket.com/albums/i107/ilikevagina/?action=view&current=Drum-wholeset1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i107/ilikevagina/Drum-wholeset1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

If i wanted to say stain or paint it, how would i go about doing that. Like how far would i have to sand to get all that cherry satin stain off??

It does look amazing, but i love the look of stained kits, and i want something with a more durable finish. I just refinished a mapex snare in a walnut stain, and i though about doing my kit in a walnut stain with about 5 coats of the most non glossy polyurethane possible

yeah ummmmm....... stains are kinda of hard to sand off completely. They goo pretty far into the grain. I would suggest a warp if you want durability.

*wrap*

lol

like he said, a stain will seep to far into the grain and by that time your taking alot off the drum

go with a wrap
