Best way to record the TD-20?

Postby RhythmMgmnt » Wed Jun 16, 2010 9:30 pm

Hey guys,

Pretty simply question here really...I have a TD-20 and I'm trying to record it into my laptop. What's the best way to do it? MIDI to USB? MIDI to (some intermediate device) to USB? 8 outputs to (some intermediate device) to USB? Let me know what you think and what your successes have been. I will be using Cubase if it matters (common platform to all musicians involved).

Here is a pic of the back in/outputs. http://www.musiciansbuy.com/mmMBCOM/ima ... X_Back.jpg
Keep in mind that the whole bottom row is INPUTs from the drums into the brain.

Thanks!
