Yeah, but nothing in the really high speed range. Neither of the bands I'm in se any reason or need to go that fast. I'm just getting them for the feel and ease of playing them.

And that's cool. I can't stand the people who just like Dani, or just like the Thornography album. Cradle if my favorite band, but only pre-Midian Cradle. Cruelty and Vempire were by far their best albums.

Yeah. But intricate and technical footwork isn't out of the picture.

And the entire Nymphetamine album was good except 1 song, it was a great album. Thornography was very bad though. I like 2 songs off of it.

Godspeed on The Devil's Thunder is like a heavier Midian. Cradle just doesn't feel like black matel anymore and I don't think they ever will again. It's fast and heavy and Dani's finally bringing back some good vocals, but the atmosphere and the emotion is pretty much gone from their music

Cradle wasn't really black metal to begin with, at least in my opinion. The influence was there, yes, but they weren't true black metal. What they are classified as, I don't even know because there's so many labels put on them and I think they even said themselves they're not true black metal. All I know is that they do what they do and that's their sound.

Of course, what do I know, everybody these days has their own definition of what is black metal and what isn't.

I followed Cradle for a short while and I dig some of their work, mostly Midian and Damnation and A Day. But alot of the fanboys and girls/Dani Filth disciples ruined Cradle for me. Plus I can only take Dani's screeching in small doses. After a while, it gets irritating to me.

No doubt that they're good musicians though and their tunes are cool.

I don't really care what they are, it's just easy to say black metal

and I love his screeches, and they're all very talented
