3 up, 2 down 10"-12"-8" 14"-16"

not for any reason other then that's what i use for the music i play
i could care less if it's flashy or trendy or anything
i use everything on my set, and my bandmates like what i do
so i'm not complaining
if we played jazz i would play 1 up 2 down
cause that would make more sense musically

Depends on what kit I use.. On my yammies its 2 up 1 down.. On my classic maples its either 3 up 1 down or 1 up 1 down.

I switch it up from time to time. Sometimes its 1 up 1 down, 2 up 1 down, 1 up 2 down. I usually play 1 up 2 down. It's easiest for me. but its total preference.

i definitely love my ride and where its at, so i have no tom there, right now 1 up 1 down, but i am looking into getting a smaller tom maybe a 10" or an 8" to put to the right of mt 12". btw i am a lefty so my stuff is all backwards :)

well as u can see in my picture below i love a 4 piece drum set. its all i really need right now, but eventually i think as far as i would go...would be to get another floor tom and maybe a china cymbal or splash. but i love a simple four piece with four cymbals. my ideal drumset is simply...but mixed up with brands. heads, cymbals mostly. but yeah... :D

1 up, 1 down. I like playing (and hauling) a small kit.

I usually play a 2-up/2-down set up but we have a little tour coming up and need to minimize a bit, so I'm in the process of acclimating myself with a smaller kit; 1-up/1-down and I'm tryin to squeeze my 8" in somewhere. We'll see how it goes...

It depends on the style of music.
If I'm playing Genesis or Rush, I use a lot of toms.
I use this set up 8" 10" 12" 14" 16" 22" kick 14" snare

I use 2 rack toms and 2 floor toms but I sometimes play using only 1up and 1 down too... Just depending on what kind of music i'll be playing... But by having more toms, it would also means that your kit would have more sounds to be played on! I would want to add 2 more toms though...

1 up 1 down for me, the ride is handy and theres less to haul around.
I also have it like that becase i dont like huge tom fills, i like it to be a bit more creative that a constant roll.
