Well my Snares are from all makes and ages. My Toms and kik's all match.
You can own the greatest drum ever made, but it won't change how well you can play it!

My set is a total match. All Starclassic. I wanna get a new snare tho. Mine sounds nice but it's too deep. I really want a piccolo

I played a hybrid Mapex/Sonor for YEARS! Worked well.
Of course I have my MM kit now, but both of those kits together were awesome.

I have a mapex 14x14 that I pulled the badge off, and use it with my Ayotte Customs. The color is a great match, most people dont even know. and it was 100 bucks brand new. Maple, good quality for what it is. The Ayotte Custom........ would have cost me about 1100.00.

My Sonor Force 2000s all match perfectly. I do have one Force 3000 snare with the same lugs and hardware, but it's shell is birch, not poplar and it's metallic green, not yellow.

My Pearls all look the same, but the shells are different. I have MRX and BRX toms and 18" MRX BD, MMX snare and 20" and 24" BDs.

My Port-O-Kit is a real mutt. 14x4" DW 10+6 snare (black laquer) 20x6" bass drum wrapped and lugged to match the snare and 12 & 14" Purecussion Rims toms.

Neither of my kits fully match. On my nice one the toms and kick are PDP FS Birch, snare is the OCDP X Maple snare. My other set its a rogers big r kick, ludwig rocker toms, then my PDP fs snare.

I have a 6pc Pearl session custom 22,16,14,13,12 and 14snare. The original kit is from 1995 but the floor tom I purchased from craigslist for 150$ and its about 10years newer with a different badge and lugs but same color. So technically it doesnt match lol
