Gretsch Catalina Maple for rock?

Would the Gretsch Catalina Maple sound good for rock?
Im gonna tune the snare high and the bass and toms low :]

Those Catalina's are great Drums. The only thing that would hold you back with a set of those would be your tuning ability and artistic imagination, apart from that they would hold up against anything you throw at them. Good luck.
