I got a friend who has some Collar Lock drums, he says they used to be made by DW. He said he'd give them to me for $350. 18"x22" kick, 12", 13" toms, and 16" FT. They are a nice deep red color, chrome is in decent shape, and they have suspension mounts and a virgin bass. Can't find much info. on these drums, though. $350 doesn't seem too bad for a little kit to bang around on or drag to smokey shows. Thoughts guys?

I'd say those are the drums that became pdp? If that's indeed the case, 350 is a good deal.

If they're in decent shape (check the bearing edges!), the hardware looks ok, and you like them.. I'd say 350 is a good deal whatever the brand.

they were made by DW in the 90's, i believe.

a friend of mine has a set. nothing super impressive. no better than your pearl exports or your tama rockstars.

Obviously they aren't better than my exports. My Pearls are a dream kit.

I remember collarlock, I always used to sweat those kits when I was younger. $350 dont sound like a bad deal to me at all.

I may tell him that I tried to do research on them and could find nothing out... to see if he'll knock some off the price. I'd like to have a kit to bang around on and shit, because once my Exports are done I want to take really good care of them. I'll let y'all know how it works out. Thanks.
