If my job consisted mainly of playing drums I don't think I'd take a day off either

ESPECIALLY if I could play like Hoglan.

Well, the more you play, the better you play.

I am REALLY interested in this, as I love old Fear Factory, but am not super fond of their old drummer.

Raymond wasn't super amazing, but I think the way he played was great for Fear Factory. You can already tell the difference with how Gene uses more accents and has more finesse

It was really a groove issue for me. You had these super mechanical guitars underpinned by some VERY loose drumming. It wasn't that I think he's a bad player or anything, just not a good fit for the rest of the band. I kind of got a similar feeling when I saw the Sword a couple weekends ago. Their drummer's really good, but his groove is too loose for the precise muted guitar stuff.

Sounds good to me, but not any better or worse than herrera's playing.

Trivett of the Sword is one of my favorite drummers. I like the way he pounds his ride like a crash.
