Mike Park- Mercenary

Postby TOTEMdrum » Thu Jul 02, 2009 9:35 am

One of my favorite drummers. Comes up with great drums parts for every song. I never find myself board when playing along with these songs. The way he transitions to and from each part so smoothly is amazing. It doesn't even really read as different parts with a transition, it seems more like a single constant drum part.

Even if you don't like the style take a listen, he's got some talent.

Yeah man, I love Lost Reality. I'm going to try and learn that song on the drums soon once I get better at the double pedal. Almost there though. :D

If you like the Lost Reality song, you'll probably like this one as well:

11 Dreams:

I pracitce this song every time I sit down at my set, it has really helped with my double bass control.

The album this song is off of "11 Dreams" is great. The other song posted earlier (Firesoul) is from the same album. They still had their original bassist/vocalist Kral in then, sadly he left after that album. Their next release "The Hours the Remain" only has one bad song on it in my opinion, and the drums are solid throughout. Their newest album isn't as good, not as creative and their singer is started to show his weaknesses. (If you like the singer, don't watch him live, it can get painful.)
