I've been a DMB fan since "What Would You Say" first hit the air.

Duh, I should have known what cross-over meant, just thought dude meant something else. I like me some DMB all around by the way.

i can't help but turn back to DMB every so often and just immerse myself in beauford's incredible live drumming. we all know he can hold his own in the studio, but his live work is just impeccable. that's where the real skill's at, methinks.

He always hammers in Ants Marching when playing live too, that's one of his best performances.

As with a lot of us Buddy was his inspiration. Carter's father took him to a show when he was a young'n because he couldnt find a babysitter. Carter used to practice in front of a mirror. While doing this he would try to immitate the audience view of Buddy. This caused him to set up his kit in reverse. Even though he doesnt use the reverse kit today, that early exposure helped with his dexterity big time.

Great drummer!! I am a heavy metal and rock guy, but I listen to Dave Matthews all the time just for his drumming. I have never seen a drummer that makes it look so easy.
