Man I I've been looking for an alternative to Axis pedals for a while and now Pearl have the Demon Drive but at £699!! You could buy a good semi pro kit with that. Might give the speed Kings a go lol.

Has any seen/tried the Taye Metalworks XP1.02 pedals? They are kinda like the DW8000/9000.

Also that speed king is really interesting, it looks like it would switch really easily.

It switches by removing one screw, it takes about 2 seconds...

BTW, I still read the posts here... Every so often I come up for air and put in my 50th of a buck, especially when I see some guy from Pearl claiming they have the first pedal that can be changed from Long board to Hinged! I had a 10 year old speed king that could do that in 1967 (sometimes it even did it when I didn't want it to!)

I'm not digging the "tactile feedback", but everything else sounds cool.

Just been looking online for places that will sell it (birmingham drum centre) they will be selling it at £479. Although its still expensive its a hell of a lot cheaper than £699!

One must also look at the construction of these high dollar pedals. For one, they are cast. Two, I doubt they use hardened grade 5 or above screws. Looks don't make a pedal. Seriously for that money I would go Trick or Axis. My opinion of course.

barely saw that and GOD DAMN am I impressed...

#1 by the pedal. Idc that it costs over 300, that pedal really seems worth it. Seems like a really well thought through and put together peice of machinery

and...

#2 that guy working the stand right there. He knows whatsup. Definately knows how to sell a pedal. I know people sware by Trick or Axis, but that guys got me sold on that Demon. Pearl better be paying him well

Yeah man, once I start having "extra money" (what the f*** is that? Haha) I'm gonna pick a pair up. Even if they don't play as well as my Axis's, they'd be something cool to have.
