why is it that the new models of them are 380 when i got mine for 300 ?

They bought out new models.

Different housing system for the bearings.
the "cobra coil"
a few different adjustments aswell
etc...

so basically a new design=more money.

the new pwrglides don't have the coil.

its true, they dont have the coil. the advertised price on the pt900 or whatever its called now, is around like 350 or 380 like you said. but i got mine brand new at my local music shop for 290, theyre the Iron cobra power glide doubles.

resistance rings? if they came in the little plastic bag with it, i dont, I've left it the way it is, and i have the spring tension about 3/4 of the way up.

well i think alot of the drum products have jacked up since the economy is going down.
like every Ziljdian cymbal is now like 10 dollars more than what it originally used to be.

The rolling glides have the cobra coil but my powerglides def were not 380.

The power glidfes dont come with a Cobra Coil, but they come retro fit so you can add a coil to the powerglide if you so desire.
The rolling glide comes with the coil already installed
