Thanks, you guys for all the replies.
Since Evans G2 and Remo Emperor appeared most in the reply's, I think I'll try both of them.
Allready got a set of G2's, and they sound great.

When ever I think about acrylic shells I think about doted (Remo CS, Ludwig Silver Dot, etc.) drumheads too. I thinks these produce a very 70's (muffled & Fat) kind of sound.

... And Keith Moon had an acryllic set with dotted heads. on the other hand, he also had goldfish in the drums.
Like the way he sounded, but it's just not the sound I'm looking for.

Absolutely nothing against coated heads, but as I explained in my original post, I think coated heads will fuck up the see-through-vibe of my kit.

if you really want those fuckers to sing....clear ambassadors top and bottom. It was way too much for me so I went with clear Emperors top and ambassadors bottom. I play an acrylic set with Bonham sizing(26,14,16,18) and it really took some getting used to as far as head use and tuning.Especially after playing maple and birch kits for years. So my advice... REALLY experiment and try tuning slightly higher up on everything than you would normally do on a wood kit.Just not too much where you're choking the head...otherwise it will sound like ass.Have FUN!! I really dig my acrylics and have fun playing them!!! You will too bro!!!

I'd say either Evans G2's or EC2's
