EMAD 2 over Superkick II?

Aquarian, Evans, Remo etc. All about drumheads.

I prefer the EMAD personally, but the Superkick is very good too. Pick one and try it, then try the other next time you change heads. Long way round but you'll know which you prefer

Either is good, I perfer the superkick. I had an EMAD once and the plastic holder (if thats what you want to call it) that actually holds the muffling system in place fell apart, turned me away from them.

Thats how it goes I guess :P Some things work better for others, I just recently replaced my super kick II - the old on must have been on there for over a year and was still going strong - the EMAD I was talking about didn't last that long.

You have a superkick, all you can really do it try an EMAD and at the end of thats life, decide which you like better.

As others have said, you have to actually try both heads and sticks before you know if you like them. I still have the first SKII I got, six years ago, and the muffling ring is still 90% attached. I've seen the rings on Emad heads fall off after 50 hours of playing.

That happened to mine, luckily I was using internal muffling instead of the rings. I personally like EMAD 2 better, but I don't use all of it. You're just gonna have to try them for yourself

I liked the sound of my superkick better, but I broke mine very easily so I went back to an EMADII

I don't think the muffling ring will fall of on a SKII
Some jackass at guitar center named "Stash" sold me an extra thin kick pad and told me it would hold up. 2 weeks later there's a hole in my bass drum head

Nope that was a Powerstroke 3 and that was completely my fault. No impact badge+1 ply head+hard plastic beaters=sadness
