I just got the genera hd dry head for my snare. I'm also still using the remo ambassador as a reso and was thinking of maybe making an even drier sound, could i just buy a 2 ply as a reso maybe? Brands mean nothing to me so any advice with any nice reso heads would be helpful.

Do you know that even drier will make your snare sound terrible anywhere other than behind the kit?

The HD Dry isn't dry enough for you?

Yeah you can go pretty tight with tuning the snare reso's. I've heard someone on here mention that they tighten it down so hard it feels like a table top. Just don't overtighten the strainer, then you're choking the snare. A little ring never hurt anything.
