Time to put new'uns on.

defo going for coated this time.

ive narrowed it down to.

all coated

Remo Emporers

Evans G2 Coated

Aquarian Response II

or Aquarian Super 2

I play in an indie/folk band and play lots of drum and bass... these heads are what i have narrowed it down to and i will be buying them this week, i will be definately getting them in 12 14 and most probably 16 just to satisfy my OCD

I will appreciate criticism.

cheers

What kind of skinning knife are you going to use?

I'm interested in trying the G2 coated; let us know what you end up with if you like.

Unfortunately I have no experience with coated heads on toms..

Coated tom heads have a slightly more mellow tone with more stick impact when directly compared to their clear counterparts.

they are so under rated, seriously way ahead from the rest in my own opinion.
i got texure coated power dot for my snare too... it is very punchy and responsive.
Dont know whether to get SK1 or 2 now though..

ive learnt from aquarian, dont knock it untill youve tried it, i used to obsess over remo heads

They're way under-rated and man do I love playing on them. :)

Do you want more projection or more focus from your kick? Projection would be the SKI and the focused the SKII.
