in australia the standard fee is around $25 for half an hour.
my drum teacher charges me $25, for 30 minutes, although he usually gives me an extra 15-20 minutes.

I teach part time also and charge $100 per month for 4 one hour lessons. I'm here in south texas and no one has complained about my prices so far...

Ask around to other teachers in the area. It sucks when you undercut someone steeply. Don't drag down the going rate for lessons. You'll be looked down upon by your peers.

Just sayin'. Don't undercut your skills, or the local rate.

i live in cary too man, you should go to 2112 percussion in raliegh.. they are great for drums, barely anything else, but its like 90 per half hour.. i feel like im being overcharged

my place goes 84 a month for 1/2 hour so thats like what...84 divided by four....$21.00 bucks per half hour lesson. $42 for an hour.

I am in Ohio and usually charge $20.00 per hour. I may be under charging. However, when I instruct drum corps I make up for this difference. I feel you can not price yourself out of the market completely. Parents starting children do not want too much of a committment till the kids is fully committed as well.
I do not care for 1/2 hour lessions as I do not feel they are very productive. Just personal opinion.

$25 per half-hour (individual lesson). I have 15 students.

I only teach two nights a week....I also gig usually two nights a week on the weekends and also work a 45-52 hour a week day job.
