just walking everyday will add endurance and strength.
and don't forget to drink lots of water :D

I'm gonna play a bit of the devils advocate here. I think for getting fast and getting more endurance the best way is just to practice faster and longer. Crank up that metronome, or play to faster songs and when you get tired and sore (I say this is jest) stop being a wuss and keep going. Getting out of your comfort zone can only make you a better player and stretching the limits of your body will only make you stronger. There's plenty of cats that, imo, are in poor physical health but can shed with the best of them.

Speed on the kit is all about muscle memory and proper technique.

So coming from the stand point of wanting to get faster on the kit, I'd rather play on the kit than workout.

That being said, working out and being in shape is a great idea and something we should all do. :)
