Rogers 1980 Green Glass Glitter Recovered XP8, 18-12-14, with matching original finish 1969 Slingerland 5.5x14 Six Lugger
Drums have been fitted with Pat Pend Cleveland era mounts.

Wow I'm impressed. Love the blue kit. I don't see Rogers kits very much did they stop making them?

CBS had the magic touch in destroying Rogers. CBS bought them and thought they could push Rogers in the same way they pushed Fender guitars. Rogers then went thru several ownerships and I think that they are currently owned by Yamaha which ironic since Yamaha's Tom arms are essentially taken from the Rogers Swiv-o-matic design.

yes, yamaha bought them, not they are..well...not very good. i own Big R rodgers myself, from around 75. They were great back then!

Kansasdrummer, .... what color Big R? post some pics.

The green sparkle set are Big R 1980 XP8 shells.

And theres this, my first drumset, which I still have and play, since 1979.

ploughman, if you are the same guy from the rogersownersforum, i am elicitdrummer on there. I got a black big r. The rogers forum has been down all day..or somthing with the servers at runboard, so i havent been able to get on, have u?

I REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY LOVE those red wine ripple's from 64. they are f#*%ing beautiful. just wanted to throw that out there. i mean the rest are beautiful too but i just love that finish even though it is "cough" pink

Thank you for the comment. I fell in love with that finish the first time I seen it. It took me years to find a kit in good shape in that color. Im a lucky man.
