removing rust from die cast hoop

Wadded up aluminum foil will work too. I use chrome cleaner to lubricate the rim and it does a great job. A lot of people use fine steel wool but I wouldn't do that under any circumstance, it'll scratch regardless of how fine the steel wool is.

I have always had some good like with petroleum jelly or lime away.
