How much are my drums worth?

Postby zen_drummer » Mon Feb 18, 2008 9:37 pm

I have an old drum set.

I don't know who made it, I don't know what sizes they are or anything.

I don't have any pictures of it.

Can you tell me what it's worth?

I really need to know.

No...

I'm glad it's not... is it worth more or less with the "ethnic area" SSSSS's on it?

With or without unicorn decals intact? This is pertinant to both questions.

Several of the unicorn decals are scuffed, but it doesn't effect the sound.

New decals can be purchased here:

Imagine Buddy Rich's kit, but with an extra dozen tom toms and two bass drums. I guess it's more like Louis Belson's with extra tom toms but it's not as white.

I think Jay Osmond had a kit like it, but his had single heads on the toms.

One of the drums smells funny.

I think they install the smell at the factory as an option. It makes them worth more.

First you have to sand down the chrome, then you need 17 coats of rustolium and 12 coats of clear.

Or you can use latex dutchboy
