VH-11 versus VH-12

Postby Davo-London » Mon Apr 20, 2009 7:28 am

Folks, I've tried the VH-11 on the TD12 but have yet to play the VH-12. Has anyone tried both of these and if you have what do you think?

I notice that the acoustic sound generated by the VH-11 is quite high , i.e. I can hear it over and above the headphones, and wondered whether the VH-12 was a bit quieter. Also, which gives the better feel. I'm not necessarily comparing with an acoustic kit but I have to move from one to the other and so it's quite relevant.

Cheers

NOt much action here. I'll answer this myself.

there's not much difference in use. I may actually slightly prefer the VH-11 after all that so the TD-12 is just what I'm looking for.

I like the VH-11 with my TD-12 kit very much. I sometimes play a TD-20 kit when I practice at the music school that has a VH-12, and honestly I can't hear a lot of difference in the response. So I guess I'd say spend your money on other upgrades first, which it sounds like you've decided to do.
