How about :
Hellion
Anvil
Saxon
Autograph
M.S.G.

Oh and I love the Loudness mention, although I always call them Rowdness.

I auditioned for Hellion 6 or 7 years ago.

That's so cool!

I remember seeing them on MTV and hearing "This is Akira Takasawki from Rowdness and you're watching MTV!"

What about ACCEPT?
Man, nobody remembers those guys.
"YOU'VE GOT YOUR BALLS TO THE WALL!!!!"
Remember?
Fast as a Shark?
Metal Heart?
Balls to the Wall?

Remember the bands Forbidden and Dark Angel?

Acid Bath: They're pretty obscure and sound like Trouble, on acid. More of like a stoner/acid/psychadelic metal band from the mid 90's. Very strange. Sammy Duet, the guitar player, went on to play with Crowbar for a while and then he formed Goatwhore. I like Acid Bath alot.
"I scream, you scream, everybody scream for morphine"
Listen to the album "Pagan Terrorism Tactics." It blew my mind and got me into Acid Bath the first time I heard it. Nothing like I had ever heard before.

Andy is a very cool cat. I did a show with D2 back on their first tour when I was in a band in Charleston and they played at Hammerjacks. I also served in the Navy with D2 drummer Stevie West's cousin Clint.

Death Angel
Corrosion of Conformity
Prong
Type O Negative
Carnivore (Pete Steel's band before Type O)
DRI (okay, they're mostly punk, but they did metal later on)
Grand Funk Railroad (If you wanna try to tell me they ain't metal, listen to their second album. I wish I could remember what it's called. And forget about "We're an American Band" that was Grand funk light).
