I was just curious who all has tracked in a studio and fallen asleep on a really comfy couch that was there in the control room? Seems like every studio I've been in has a really comfortable couch. Is it like a requirement?

That happened to me during mix-down yesterday. Got the shit scared outta me by Jared our lead singer. It wasn't ten minutes later he was snoring on the same couch. I was all like, "Nooooooo don't let the couch suck you in!"

I did some stuff for my singer-songwriter friend a bit ago, and I kept falling asleep on the couch. Every time I woke up something new had been recorded, it was awesome.

we have a convertible futon bed/couch in our studio/rehearsal space. it's really comfy to have a bed to pull out when we're doing 12 hours of work at a time.

Awesome! This made me laugh out loud. Although Rolf, it's a "Mackie" not Macky mixer.

Yea it's so like "don't get sucked in!"

Or "Chairy" from Pee Wee's Play House comes to mind. "Hi there drummer!" and then it grabs you with the arm rests...

And don't worry bout' it man! There's a lot of brands out there. We're all bound to get em confused or mispelled at some point or another. Just politely pointing that out! Take care!

We've got a few in our studio because our studio is also pretty much where I live and spend my days. It helps with those early morning sessions so everyone can stay there instead of driving all the way there.
Beat on.
