Success is what you make of it. At the end of the day, you're more likely to be judged by the vision others have of success than your own. You might be successful in your own right, but since you have or don't have Quality-X you're worthless in that person's vision. Always define success on your own merits and cut the other guy a little slack on occasion, too.

success is me and my closest friends driving around in a crappy van
playing music we love for the people we love

even if that's 10 kids in a run down venue
even if it's 10000 kids in a stadium

where ever we go, and however big we get
it's all about having fun, and loving the music you make, and the friends you make it with
